Welcome to the 4972 Cavendish Boulevard Bathroom Hygiene Guide!
Things have gone off the rails in the bathroom, together we can set things right!
👃 If you've noticed a bad smell in the bathroom, here's why. If you haven't, what a shame!
- Stagnant water on the floor, sink, or shower helps bacteria grow, causing bad smells.
- Not flushing properly can make it worse. Bacteria like salmonella and shigella happily thrive in fecal matter (aka 💩) and urine, releasing gases like ammonia.
- Poor ventilation encourages bacteria to grow. You’ve probably wondered why I keep the toilet door open and turn on the noisy hall fan.
🛁 Shower tips
Taking a shower is great, really really great, but leaving behind a mess isn’t.
- Use soap - Dollarama has cheap ones.
- Dry yourself in the bath before stepping out.
- Kindly leave the small fuckin carpet where it is—it's there to absorb water falling from the bath. Stop messing with it and moving it around.
🚽 When using the toilet, try not to miss the target—no one enjoys a surprise splash on the seat.
⚠️ If you have a smell
Some people may not notice they are smelly as their brain gets used to it. However, if you've noticed an unpleasant odor coming from your body 🤢, it might be a sign of something more serious like a fungal infection or a skin condition like dermatitis.
Seeing a doctor 👩⚕️ at Concordia Health Services is easy and simple. Don't hesitate to get checked out if you're concerned, for both your health and the comfort of those around you. Remember, you're already paying for health insurance, so make the most of it. Also remember, doctors won't judge you—people might, and honestly, I do!
📝 Finally, let’s together live in a clean, healthy and respectful environment.
